About Elise's World Show
How it All Began
In 2018, the idea for Elise's World began with a sketchbook.
The night before Elise left for a West Coast music tour, she was sitting at home drawing a dog in a sketchbook while her boyfriend (now husband), Jason, watched from across the room. After a few moments he looked up and said, "I can make that dog talk to you."
That simple idea turned into a short video of one of Elise's drawings coming to life and talking with her. Before long, Elise and Jason were creating a series of playful videos featuring Elise and her talking drawings to promote Elise's tours and music releases. At the time, they imagined the project as something geared toward adults, and the humor reflected that. What they didn't realize was that they were quietly creating the foundation of a much bigger world. Many of those original characters– including Gus the Dolphin, Sunshine the Duck, and Sebastian the Dog– are still beloved characters in Elise's World today.
When the pandemic brought touring to a halt, Elise's World was set aside for a time. During that season, Elise decided to return to graduate school to earn her master's degree in teaching. Having previously taught guitar and songwriting to children, she knew how much she loved working with young learners and felt drawn toward the classroom.
Teaching changed Elise in ways she never expected. Spending each day with children reshaped not only how she thought about education, but also the kind of creative work she wanted to spend her life making. She and Jason began to see that the world they had started years earlier could become something far more meaningful than they had ever imagined.
Together, they reimagined the project as a children's world where healthy ideas could be discovered rather than taught. Rather than creating educational lessons wrapped in entertainment, they set out to create quirky, memorable stories where the learning occurs naturally along the way.
Today, Elise and Jason continue to write every episode together, combining their backgrounds as musicians, writers, filmmakers, educators, and artists into a single creative world. Elise brings the characters to life through performance, artwork, songwriting, and voice acting, while Jason transforms their ideas into scripts and oversees filming, editing, animation, music production, and sound design. Today, they continue building the world that first began with a single drawing in a sketchbook.

We hope to inspire children to understand that caring for themselves, others, and the world around them leads to a meaningful and fulfilling life.
We hope to help children foster curiosity around many topics such as where food comes from, how bodies work, why emotions matter, healthy relationships with technology, and how small everyday choices contribute to long-term health and well-being.
